# Pricing — Inkwharf

Canonical page: https://www.inkwharf.com/pricing
Currency: USD. Prices exclude any tax due in the author's own country.

## The platform fee

Inkwharf takes 0% of every sale on every plan, including the free one. This is architectural rather than promotional: card payments are charged with the author's own Stripe restricted API key on the author's own Stripe account, and bitcoin payments are collected at addresses derived from the author's own xpub. No money passes through Inkwharf on either rail, so there is no point at which a share could be taken. Authors pay Stripe's and their bitcoin provider's normal processing fees directly, and nothing to Inkwharf beyond the flat subscription.

The value metric is gross sales in a calendar month, summed across both
payment rails. Nothing is charged before an author has earned something,
and going over a cap never blocks a delivery to a reader who has already
paid.
